TOPIC MESSAGE: Can someone help I have a toshiba a135 s2276 laptop. originally vista but i changed to xp and F keys now don't work(not the problem Im trying to resolve) I turned laptop on and the screen is displaying the following message:
Intel undi , pxe-2.1 (bulid 082)
copyright (c) 1997-200 intel corporation
For realtek rtl8139 (x)/8130/810x pci fast ethernet controller v2.17 (051202)
pxe-e61: media test failure, check cable
pxe-m0f:exiting pxe rom.

Then this repeats.
Any buttons i press on the keyboard sound an alarm. I cant enter set up as no f keys. any idea anyone please? I have never used the ethernet and no cables at all attached.

this comes up when you are trying to boot from the network boot rom, you need to turn booting from bootrom off in the bios or make the hard disk or cd boot bofre the network, the failure is because there is o network cable in your lan card and therefore nothing for the system to boot from.
